Natural Disasters

Communication links are essential in co-ordinating the activities of the various agencies involved in responding to a natural disaster if help and resources are to be directed to where they are most urgently required, and if duplication of effort and wasted time are to be avoided.

CET has the remote earth station equipment which is needed in the disaster zone available for immediate shipment and, because of the geography that its teleport location enables it to cover, can provide voice and data services to most of those parts of the world that are prone to suffer these kinds of tragedies.

In many cases it can also provide technical assistance locally to set up and maintain the communication links thus freeing up the aid agency workers to concentrate on alleviating the suffering of those affected by the disaster.
